Description

Please join Prevention WINS, WASAVP, and King County's Youth Marijuana Prevention & Education Program for an introductory training about how policy and systems change can inform advocacy efforts. Vic Colman, Co-Principal of Uncommon Solutions, Inc., a health policy consulting firm based in Olympia, will provide an overview of the most critical concepts that provide the foundation for policy and systems change and a guided approach for the key steps to successful advocacy.

Policy and Systems Change: A Framework for Successful Advocacy training includes the “who” – developing and maintaining relationships and coalitions, and the “how” – identifying actionable strategies and prioritizing the best options, developing an advocacy plan, and then supporting implementation and evaluation. The training will incorporate hands-on tools that can be utilized right away in your paid and volunteer work.

Because of limited space, we will prioritize registrations for King County residents who address youth marijuana prevention efforts. If you don't work in King County but still want to join us, email Lindsey.Greto@kingcounty.gov and we'll add you to a wait list.

Hope to see you there!
